We report a case of isolated duodenal mucosal injury caused by blunt abdominal trauma without associated transmural injury or intramural hematoma in a patient who presented upper gastrointestinal bleeding & retroperitoneal hematoma on abdominal computed tomographic (CT) scan. The patient was a 14-year-old girl who attempted suicide by leaping from the 13th floor of a building. (10 refs)
