This chapter discusses a number of issues related to the care of children with disabilities or chronic/terminal illness, including education, hospitalization, medical costs, doctors, dealing with seizures, placement, & surviving murder & suicide. The discussion of bereavement after suicide briefly mentions how some parents of children with special needs may see suicide as an escape from the difficult situations in which they are. (6 refs.)
