The first section of this report provides background information on the scope of youth suicide in Australia, the history & development of the National Youth Suicide Prevention Strategy, & national policies & programs. The second section includes a description of the Strategy including goals, administration, philosophy, principles, & activities, direct prevention approaches & system level approaches, & the evaluation of the Strategy. Section 3 discusses results in terms of major achievements & good practice findings. The last section provides conclusions & future directions.
