This article presents a statistical analysis of the percentage & method of violent death after pregnancy in Finnish women. The authors assert that the results do not support the hypothesis that abortion itself causes suicide, as the risks for accidental death & homicide also increase after an induced abortion. They also suggest the results of previous studies may be skewed because women from lower social classes & single women are over-represented. (5 refs) (SC)
