A National Programme for Suicide Prevention in Norway (IN: Suicide Attempts in the Nordic Countries: Epidemiology and Treatment, edited by T Bjerke & T C Stiles)

This chapter described the development of a national suicide prevention programme in Norway. The programme will emphasize research, information, & training. The improved care, especially of high-risk groups, & the utilization of current knowledge of the psychodynamic, biological, & social aspects of suicide will also be foci of the programme.
