Ross C P
This concluding chapter discusses the possible influence of personal attitudes among suicide researchers. The changes in societal attitudes toward suicide & the perceived rationality of individuals who complete or attempt suicide are summarized. The attitudes of researchers may influence future case law. This interaction between attitudes & legal developments is illustrated through a discussion of involuntary hospitalization. (SC)
