This paper addresses the development of the Blue Bay Healing Center & its relationship to suicide prevention efforts on the Flathead Reservation in northwestern Montana. It summarizes suicide prevention before the Blue Bay concept was articulated & realized. The history of the Blue Bay Healing Center & results from two evaluation efforts are presented. (1 ref.)
