This chapter addresses several dimensions of grief on the job. It examines ways in which businesses can better understand how illness, death, trauma, & other losses all affect the workplace, & how businesses can benefit from understanding the grieving process. It will also address the risks of avoiding & denying loss issues at work & will introduce skills to support workers during times of change, loss, & crisis. Businesses must become better prepared to manage both expected & unexpected bereavement challenges.
