The purpose of this paper is to provide a better understanding of the literature on neurodegenerative diseases & on suicide & depressive symptoms in relation to electric and magnetic fields by using a meta-analysis technique. For suicide, an overall assessment of 5 published studies yields the conclusion that the support for an association is weak. For depessive symptoms, the assessment is more complex, but the overall conclusion is nevertheless that the evidence is relatively weak. (36 refs.)
