This presentation reviews the most important methodological issues that epidemiologists must face in research on suicidal behaviours in adolescents. In many respects, these methodological issues are no different from corresponding issues faced in epidemiological research on adults. Nonetheless, there are some important differences, many of which can be traced back to developmental variations between adolescents & adults. (86 refs.)
