Dobert R~~Nunner-Winkler G
This study explored the relationship between intensity & type of adolescent crises, development of moral consciousness, & identity formation. 113 fourteen- to twenty-two-year-old subjects of differing socioeconomic backgrounds were interviewed. Questions concerning suicide were intended as one set of indicators for the intenstity of crisis experience. Subjects responded on the basis of their own experiences with suicide attempts or on the basis of hearsay. The responses were used to develop a stage model of suicide understanding. (16 refs.)
