This presentation described the three-stage residential & support program for homeless young people, age 15-25 years. The program is designed to support young people for up to three years to enable them to address their personal issues & to develop living skills. Emphasis is placed on encouraging residents to take responsiblity for the decisions that affect their progress through the program & beyond. Sandridge has a commitment to maximizing resident participation in decision making but also draws on a range of theoretical perspectives including cognitive-behavioural, Gestalt, & solution-focussed.
