The results of a 2-year study of Aboriginal & Maori youth suicide were discussed in this presentation. The project goals were to attempt to explain why indigenous youth rates are so high & what can be done to ameliorate or mitigate them. Fieldwork was done in 48 Australian communities & included a visit to New Zealand. Some of the study results were discussed.
