This presentation discussed how general practitioners can make their practices work for young people based on the experience of Clockwork Young People’s Health Service in Geelong, Victoria. 1 in 4 young people presenting to the service are suicidal. The presentation included a discussion of: the program & outcomes in relation to suicide prevention; the education program & resources for general practitioners; improving the accessibility of service to young people; & improving networking between general practitioners & other mental health & youth services.
