Lives on the Line: Youth Suicide as Told by the Young Australians who Contact Kids Help Line

This presentation discussed some of the findings of a comprehensive analysis of over 6,000 suicide-related calls made to the Kids Help Line. Differences between callers from various geographical locations, referral options & patterns, & ethnicity were highlighted. The presentation also reviewed some of the initial findings from the research, including risk & causal factors, lethality, & protective factors. Implications for service delivery, intervention, & prevention were discussed.
