This presentation examined & clarified the concept of collaboration in both its broader context & the specific context of suicide prevention. It was argued a more specific definition is needed, one which places collaboration within a continuum of working relationships. Some of the barriers to effective collaboration were explored & some strategies offered to promote the development of successful collaborative relationships.
