This presentation reported on a study of the prevalence of non-fatal suicidal behaviour in younger adolescents & patterns of associations with potentially modifiable risk factors. Computerized questionnaires were administered to 2,678 adolescents, ages 13-14. Findings were discussed considering the appropriateness of a population based approach to suicide prevention & the promotion of emotional wellbeing.
