This article briefly outlines the development & achievements of a community project in Mt. Beauty in northeast Victoria, Australia. The catalyst for the community project was the suicide of a 20-year-old man in 1997. Public meetings were held early in 1997 which resulted in numerous prevention activities. (4 refs.)
