This autobiographical account by a prison nurse describes an inmateÕs suicidal thoughts & attempts. The author felt that the supervising nurse had negative attitudes toward suicide & thus inadequately treated the inmate. The article concludes with possible amendments assessment procedures to guard against the potential influence of the assessorsÕ negative attitudes. (SC)
