88 of 92 first admission schizophrenics from 1963, were followed up between 1974-1975. 58% percent were reported as showing no social or intellectual deficit. Birth, marriage & divorce rates appeared to be not very different from those for the general population. Deaths would seem greater than expected. 12 of the 88 patients had died during follow-up. Two of these deaths were male patients who had died by suicide. (34 refs.)
