Many helpers are unfamiliar with posttraumatic stress reactions in children. The goal of this workshop was to teach participants: 1) to identify posttraumatic stress disorder reactions in addition to other survivor reactions; 2) to identify trauma specific questions which need asking; 3) to discuss a trauma specific intervention with survivors which uses drawing techniques to deal with trauma specific issues; & 4) to provide a brief assessment of posttraumatic stress disorder related reactions.
