The Atlanta Survivors of Suicide Support Team was created in 1989 by several families bereaved by suicide. This presentation discussed: support team objectives, process, procedures, & design of the training program. A two-day training session is meant to give survivors & professionals an in-depth look at the issues common to many families & groups after a suicide. Training includes role plays & stresses communication skills & the needs of caregivers.
