This think tank opened with presentations by Werth & Pender. Werth proposed that AAS & the Hemlock Mental Health Advisory Board could work together. Pender countered that while a dialogue between the 2 groups could be useful, “partnership” implied too much collaboration & similarity of purpose. Girsh (Hemlock Society) & Berman (AAS) also spoke on the goals of their respective organizations. Conwell summarized the isses presented & audience members offered their opinions on a formal partnership.
