Kerr G R~~Ramsey D J~~Spears W
From 1987-1996 child deaths from all causes averaged 2498 per year, among the external causes annual averages for suicide were 187. An average increase of 20 deaths in the suicide rate occurred over all age groups except in the group aged 1 through 4 years. The increase in suicide was lower than the population growth, except for children aged 10 through 14 years.
