In this document, Stelovich describes the necessity and best way of conducting a community suicide review, and his twenty years experience in reviewing such cases. Stelovich attempts to answer why clinicians find reviews helpful in prevention efforts and describes the full investigative process that most reviews take. Also included are examples of chair appointments to suicide review boards, and recommendations to ensure proper member communication is maintained during the review process.
