This autobiography describes the life and work of Nils Retterstol, a Norwegian psychiatrist specializing in suicide and paranoid psychosis. Retterstol has worked closely with such organizations as the International Association for Suicide Intervention and the World Health Organization. Retterstol is currently Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Oslo, leading innumerable studies on suicide and mental health disorders. Retterstol has been a senior suicidiologist for thirty years.
