This autobiography describes the life and work of Hermaan Pohlmeier, a German expert in the field of suicidology with a special interest in depression. Pohlmeier speaks of his work as a psychiatrist and as a member of the German Association for Suicide Prevention and the International Association for Suicide Prevention, where he served as tresurer. Pohlmeier is well known for his creation of Crisis-an international publication on suicide which has become a model for similar projects globally.
