When depression and anxiety occur together, there is a higher incidence of suicide. Pharmacotherapeutic assistance with antidepressants venlafaxine, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine, and sertraline, as well as nefazodone are examined in this report. The study concludes that Venlafaxine once-daily may be more effective than fluoxetine for patients with major depression and concomitant anxiety.
