In this letter to the editor, Goldney states that Morrell et al have misrepresented the scientific literature dealing with the presence of psychiatric illness in youth suicide. Goldney does not think that a study of his which addressed suicide in people of all ages, with no focus on youth, should be cited as not supporting the importance of psychiatric illness in youth suicide.
