Young suicides & an evaluation of an educational program in primary care for the management of suicide/depression risk are discussed. Little is known about younger suicides except that they have less contact with health care professionals. Factors to consider when studying this are listed. Educational programs for GPs & their evaluation are discussed. A clinical audit to identify deficiencies in clinical procedures is suggested, which would review unexpected deaths known to healthcare personnel.
