Stirland H
The aims of purchasers, the tools they use, & their unique role in suicide prevention is described. Purchasers aim to find strategies to help residents compensate for social disadvantage, provide interventions to prevent suicide, and support the mentally ill at risk of relapse. Purchasing will increase knowledge about mental illness & help local communities improve their lifestyle. Purchasing can also work more directly with the vulnerable and provide newer perspectives to exisiting programs.
