Abstract
Book Review-Essential Papers on Suicide, edited by J T Maltsberger & M J Goldblatt
Abruzzi W A
Abruzzi reviews the book Essential Papers on Suicide. He comments that by trying to be both a tome meant to help philosophers understand the dynamics of suicidal behavior, as well as a reference book to aid clinicians, compromises were made(e.g. no psychopharmacological studies were included). Despite this, the editors have brought together many useful papers on the subject. However, it did not meet the editors’ goal of being a book for clinicians with little time to hunt through papers.
