Rygnestad T
This study followed 2 groups of patients for several years after admittance to a Norway hospital for a deliberate self-poisoning attempt. The 2 groups were admitted in 1978 & 1987. Risk factors for subsequent death in these subjects in the following years, and differences between patients who survived or died during the follow-up period were studied. Most patient deaths in the follow-up period resulted from completed suicides. Being a male aged 30+ was a predictor for suicide. (35 refs.)
