Woodruff-Borden J~~Stanley M A~~et al
627 nonclinical panickers were studied to explore the speficity of the relationship between panic & suicide by assessing experiences of panic, suicidal behaviour in relation to panic & general levels of psychopathology. 42% had experienced at least 1 panic attack in the past year; of these, 18% had considered suicide & 2.65% had made a suicide attempt in relation to their panic attacks. More than 1/3 of those who considered suicide saw no other options for managing their panic attacks.
