This paper is the second of a two-part series on the issue of stalking. It focuses on victims’ difficulties with the legal system & the psychotherapeutic tasks for victims and therapists. Additional stress is caused to victims by the legal system’s lack of understanding of the causes & consequences of stalking & inadequate & unenforced laws. Treatment requires a comprehensive approach including education, supportive psychotherapy & a discussion of practical prevention & protective measures.
