1990 Annual Report of the American Association of Poison Control Centers National Data Collection System

This report includes 1,713,462 human exposure cases reported by 72 participating poison centers during 1990, an increase of 8.3% over the 1989 reports. 116,400 cases were intentional suicidal poisonings; 350 of these resulted in death. The majority of deaths occurred in people over the age of 17. An appendix provides brief summaries of some of the cases. (7 refs., 24 tables)
