All 86 cases of Huntington’s Disease presenting between 1970 & 1987 in the Grampian (Scotland) Health Board region were identified. 20% of patients had committed one or more parasuicides (4 males & 12 females), with no significant gender differences being noted. No cases of completed suicide were recorded. (29 refs.)
