Sociological attributes and a study of the clinical course of 65 adolescent patients suffering from various psychiatric diagnoses are given. These patients, who had short-term hospital treatment, were interviewed 6 years later. Childhood symptoms, family histories of psychiatric illness, & life events associated with the patients are given. Before admission to the hospital, 5 suicide attempts had taken place among patients. One committed suicide after treatment. (28 refs.)
