Tranylcypromine Intoxication With Malignant Hyperthermia, Delirium, and Thrombocytopenia

In this letter to the editor, the authors present the case of a 41-year-old male who attempted suicide with an overdose of drugs. He was found in a coma; a note indicating his suicidal intent was also found. The man was known to have had persistent suicidal thoughts for more than 20 years & had attempted suicide 4 weeks before being hospitalized. The biomedical effects of the overdose are described as is the course of treatment. (15 refs.)
