Sharma comments on a study of Marzuk et al (see SIEC #970014) on the lower risk of suicide during pregnancy. Sharma says that another reason for reduced suicide risk may be that pregnancy is associated with a period of relative well-being in some women. 5 research studies in support of this argument are briefly cited.
