This study examined the usefulness of the Personality Assessment Inventory in assessing problematic behaviours in a corrections-based psychiatric hospital. A total of 334 profiles were compiled on adult male inmates receiving or requesting mental health services in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. In general, results supported the use of this inventory for the assessment of malingering, suicidal threats & gestures, & ratings of aggression. (21 refs.)
