A mother discusses her son who died by suicide at age 21. Her son was declared gifted at age 3, but behavioural problems developed in grade school. His teenage years did not reveal that he was at risk. After discovering a suicide note, his mother learned he had been attempting suicide for years. A clinical assessment revealed that he had been suffering from depression since age 7 & there were indications of bipolar disorder.
