3 studies examined the cooperation between Dutch general practitioners, clinical specialists & nursing home physicians & nurses with respect to euthanasia & assisted suicide. Approximately half of the general practitoners who responded did not consult with nurses about patient requests for euthanasia or assisted suicide. In a minority of cases nurses administered the lethal drugs. A majority of respondents thought that nurses should never be allowed to administer euthanasia or assisted suicide.
