The Adelaide Declaration on Suicide Prevention

In this declaration, the IASP calls on governments & social agencies to share the responsibility of suicide prevention with the general public. 4 steps, including the allocation of sufficient funds & resources, to accomplish this are outlined. 7 responsibilities of the IASP to encourage the development of suicide prevention programs on an international basis are listed in point form. The declaration was ratified by the Executive Board of the IASP in March 1997.
