The incidence of parasuicide in the county of Sor-Trondelag, Norway was monitored from 1989-1995 with particular note of changes in rates & sex ratios. The study examined the records of all medically treated parasuicide patients. Some of the results reported in this poster indicated that the parasuicide rate had decreased over the monitoring period. For women, the decrease was virtally continuous & male rates showed a decreasing trend from 1992 onwards.
