Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide: Results of IASP Survey and Workshop Discussions

A specially constructed questionnaire on euthanasia & assisted suicide was mailed to all IASP members & national representatives. This workshop began with a brief review of the answers that were received & then considered several questions relating to the definitions of euthanasia, issues of physical or mental illness & those with no illness, & who should carry it out. A second session considered similar questions in relation to assisted suicide. Audience participation was invited.
