Connexions, a program of the Jesuit Social Services in Melbourne, is directed towards young people, age 16-25, who suffer from a mental illness & substance abuse. A model of professional intervention which overcomes the barriers of youth culture & dual disability was developed. Connexions employs a project worker whose task is to bring about a policy change towards inclusion, rather than exclusion, within the mainstream mental health & drug & alcohol services.
