The objective of this study was to identify & assess the main protective factors in adolescent suicidal ideation & behaviour. A comprehensive questionnaire including measures of depression & self-respect was administered to a sample of 4706 high-school students in Slovenia. The study identified several protective factors in the adolescents’ family, peer group, school & social environments; they are not discussed in this proceeding.
