As part of the two-year Statewide Youth Suicide Prevention Project in Victoria, Australia, intersectoral collaboration pilot projects were done in 2 communities. This theoretical paper critically examined intersectoral collaboration & its application in the prevention of youth suicide. The principles of this model were described as were its strengths & weaknesses. It was concluded that this networking approach is one useful strategy among the many needed to address youth suicide.
