The purpose of this project was to determine if a brief intervention specifically designed to enhance treatment compliance would improve the rates of outpatient psychotherapy among adolescent suicide attempters. 23 adolescents received this intervention. At a 3-month follow-up, the experimental group was compared to 78 subjects who did not receive the intervention. Findings were discussed; they included the fact that there were no repeats of suicide attempts in the experimental group.
